Volunteer to work in the lobby before the show and during intermission or help with set up and clean up. You do NOT need a security clearance and you can still attend the performances.
Opportunities include...
Concessions, 50/50 Raffles, Raffle Basket, Set up team, Tear Down team and Candy Grams.
Donate snacks and other items needed by the cast and crew during tech week and show nights like gold fish crackers, pretzels, water bottles, tissues, cough drops and tea.
Create and donate a raffle basket to be raffled off during performance nights. Or ask a local business to donate items for a basket. You can also choose to provide a monetary gift that the boosters will use to make baskets.

STUDENT FEES AND FORMS
All students participating in musical must pay two fees - one directly to West Allegheny School District and one to West Allegheny Musical Theatre Boosters. Below is a description of each fee and a link to pay online. ​​
DISTRICT ACTVITY FEE
(PAY TO PLAY) $100.00
This fee is paid to the school district to offset the cost of transportation, equipment, supplies, and other expenses associated directly with identified student activities.

At the bottom of the page you will be asked to create an account or log in. Next select Spring Musical and any add ons that apply to your family. Then you will select your student and Continue to complete the process.
BOOSTER FEE
$75.00 ($25.00 Reduced Lunch)
This fee is paid directly to the musical theatre boosters. With this fee, each student will receive a show shirt, meals during tech week (on school days), a cast and crew wrap party, free musical photo downloads and other meals, snacks and activities provided throughout the musical rehearsal season.

SECURITY CLEARANCES
All parent volunteers need to have criminal background clearances that are updated every five years.

Once you have received all three clearances, please submit all three to Mr. McBurney or drop them off at the District Office.
Be sure to retain a copy of your clearances for your files and for future needs i.e. community organizations or religious affiliations. Requests for copies of clearances after submission to the District will not be fulfilled.
Security Clearances are required for any volunteer working directly with students. This would include helping with hair and makeup, serving tech week meals, organizing costumes and working the cast/crew party.

If you have been a Pennsylvania resident for ten (10) years, and have not been convicted of any crime listed in the Child Protective Services Law, you may submit a residency affirmation form in lieu of the Act 114 FBI (fingerprint). This form must be notarized.
